Welcome! I am currently an M.S student in ecology/evolution at the University of Illinois at Chicago. My current research focuses on urban tree biodiversity in Chicago. Specifically, I want to know what urban tree biodiversity looks like in each census tract of the city, how that biodiversity varies, and if there are significant, notable variations in urban tree biodiversity. Central to my research is finding out if a luxury effect exists, which is defined as a positive relationship between biodiversity and some affluent factor (such as income). Does affluence have an impact on Chicago's current urban tree biodiversity?
